With New Year’s resolutions fading and swimsuit season right around the corner, you may have found yourself in a diet rut. For the most part, diets do not work — they rarely lead to long term weight loss and some may even cause us to gain even more weight. Despite this knowledge, Americans still spend billions of dollars a year in the quest to achieve the “perfect” body.
Certain diets can cause individuals to starve themselves, eliminate food groups or even take pills that could harm their health. At the end of the day, deprivation prevails over weight loss. What if there was an easier way? What if you could make just a few minor changes every day and still lose weight? If your interest is peaked by the idea, keep reading. Adhering to the following tips may help you lose up to 1 pound per week. Keep in mind that 1 pound equals 3,500 calories. Given this, you’ll have to either burn an additional 500 calories through exercise or cut 500 calories from your diet.
